Some structures resemble elements of the game. Sculk shriekers generate much more frequently in ancient cities than in the normal deep dark biome. Other unique blocks such as soul lanterns and candles as well as different forms of deepslate and sculk can be found here. The city has statues and the center features a frame resembling a warden's head, where there are reinforced deepslate blocks, which is an unobtainable material in Survival mode. The palace is made up of long corridors with 2-block-deep layers of gray wool on the floor, and some rugs made of blue, light blue and cyan wool or carpet floors to prevent vibrations, as well as some smaller ruins off to the side of the main corridors, which contain either one or two loot chests. The floor of the city always generates at the Y level of -51. There is also minor shrine of home gods.An ancient city features a very large palace with a footprint of around 220 blocks on each horizontal axis, stretching throughout a deep dark biome. There are currently 3 major temples in the city - Templum Juppiterium(largest), Templum Junonium(quite smaller than Templum Iuppiterium), and Templum Martium(minor).
Teatro Livio in the city is recreation of Teatro Marcello in minecraft, with realistic interior. Domii can seem quite oversized(5 floors on 25 block height, but I think high ceilings for higher mid classes are fine, the Domus Major buildings are based on Caesar IV ones of same type with similar floor-height ratio.)Īlso, because everyone builds coloseums and arenas, I decided to build roman theater, because it is more original. It can look quite oversized, but residential buildings of that size were common in ancient rome. In the inner city are located many resident buildings of two types, large domii(for middle classes) and insulae(for low classes), some of them rising up to 25-30 blocks height. Currently there are 32 buildings in the city.Ĭity is quite massive, covering about 250x160 blocks. Texture pack used is Romecraft by Stugace. This is ancient roman themed city named Vespasianum(mid/late empire period).
